Bill Hanson graduated in 1990 from Imperial College, London with BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He qualified as a European Patent Attorney in 1996 and as a Chartered Patent Attorney in 1999. He was awarded the Chartered Institute of Patent Agents’ Drafting Prize in 1995. Bill joined J.Y. & G.W. Johnson in 1995, becoming a partner in 2000 and subsequently a founding partner of Bromhead Johnson in 2004. Bill’s area of practice includes the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the electrical, electronic, mechanical and general fields. He also handles oppositions to European patents and advises on post-grant issues such as infringement.  He is a member of AIPPI.
 

Ephry Eder studied Engineering, Physics and Mathematics at Manchester University and in 1963 graduated with a Degree in Physics and Mathematics. After a year in private practice with a leading firm of patent attorneys, part spent under the tutelage of the senior partner, he joined the Patent Department of Smiths Industries PLC. Following 5 happy years there he rejoined the domain of private practice in successively two Central London firms. He qualified as a Chartered Patent Attorney in 1973 soon followed by qualification as a registered trade mark attorney. That year also saw the foundation of his firm, E. Eder & Co. Upon the start of European patent system in 1977, Ephry was registered as a European Patent Attorney and likewise upon the introduction of the Community Trade Marks Office (OHIM) entered the roll of qualified Professional Representatives at OHIM.

Ephry specialises in mechanical patent work and trade marks, and on 29 February 2008 merged his firm (and its offices across S.E. England) with Bromhead Johnson where he continues in harness as a Consultant.
 

Edward graduated in 2002 from the University of Manchester with an MPhys
(Hons) in Physics. He joined Bromhead & Co in 2003. He assists all the
partners in both patent and trade mark matters.
